TI Day @ Mac

The sixth annual TI Day @ Mac!

Date: Saturday September 16, 2017

Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm (Sign in between 8:30-8:50)

Location: BSB-119 (Burke Science Building), at the main campus of McMaster University (1280 Main Street West, Hamilton L8S 4K1).

This unique Texas Instruments training event is open to everyone! Get training & hands-on experience with the latest developments in technology from TI, the world's leader in electronic chips.

Undergraduate students will find this training workshop very beneficial, particularly for the final year design project in capstone courses ElecEng 4OI6 & 4BI6.

Each participant must bring their own laptop. The required software will be provided to participants for downloading prior to the event.

All students will be participating in the same sessions, getting all of the training available!

Everyone is welcome, but enrolment is limited, so register early!

2017 TI Day @ Mac event:

  • Session 1: Fundamentals of Micro Controllers
  • Session 2: Integration of Motors
  • Session 3: Integration of Sensors
  • Session 4: Integration of Wireless Connectivity
  • Finishing with a final Lab integrating all previous labs
  • Everyone registered will participate in all sessions.
  • $30 registration fee (includes HST)
  • Included in your registration fee are catered breaks (morning and afternoon), the TI kit you'll be using, online support from TI, and more training available online from TI.
  • You have the option of a catered buffet lunch for an additional fee of $15. Please order this lunch when you are registering for the event. If you do not choose to have the catered lunch, bringing your own lunch is recommended, as you may find that there isn't enough time to go elsewhere, or you may wish to chat with our great TI reps!
  • Parking information can be found here along with suggestions for alternate transport. Flat rate $8.
  • The Burke Science Building (BSB) is straight ahead at the end of the Sterling Street entrance (by Parking Lots A & B).
  • If coming by car via Highway 403: Exit Hwy 403 at Aberdeen Ave - the first set of traffic lights is Longwood Road, turn left, then turn left at the second traffic lights (onto Main St. West). Go along Main Street several blocks, following the signs to the hospital (McMaster Medical Centre). Turning right into the McMaster property, follow the little road straight to wind around the hospital. At Sterling Street turn left into campus. Go straight to find Parking Lot "A" on your left. If that is full, go back slightly and turn left to Lot "B".
