Biography
Mohamed H. Negm (Ph.D.)
Mohamed H. Negm was born in Giza, Egypt in 1982. Hereceived the B.Sc. degree with honor in Biomedical Engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 2005. He then received the M.A.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada in 2008. His Masters thesis topic was developing a stochastic model for the auditory nerve during cochlear implant prosthesis stimulation.
Directly after receiving the B.S.c., Mr. Negm worked as electronic design engineer in BMA for Design and Industry, Giza, Egypt between 2005-2006, where he was participating in the design of an electrosurgical unit.
In January 2009, he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, McMaster University. He is currently working toward his Ph.D. degree. He is a member of the computational electromagnetics Laboratory.Since he joined McMaster University, he also works as a teaching assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
His research interests include antenna design for medical applications, optimization, embedded design, digital and analog electronics, physiological modeling, and modern control theory.
