- The McMaster Marauders football team won the Vanier Cup for the first time on Nov 25, 2011! Final score: 41-38 in overtime! Elec & BioMed student Jacob Hopper was a member of the winning team. Congratulations Jacob!
- Dr. Jamal Deen, Canada Research Chair in Information Technology, and professor in ECE, recently received the 2011 IEEE Canada R.A.Fessenden Medal for his pioneering contributions in electronics and optoelectronics for communication. He also received an Honorary Doctor of Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Congratulations!
- Dr. Xiaolin Wu's recent advance in information display technology, called Temporal Psychovisual Modulation, has been reported in the MIT Technology Review, a premium media outlet for major innovations. The story is available on their website here. Congratulations Xiaolin!
- Dr. Tim Davidson has received a 2011 Best Paper Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society for a paper co-authored with Nikos Sidiropoulos and former Chair of the ECE dept, Tom Luo. The paper appeared in the June 2006 issue of the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. Congratulations Tim!

- The Level One Information Fair is being held Thursday Feb 16, from 11:30 to 3:30 in the ETB. Level One Engineering students are encouraged to come to this event to see the selection of programs available to them.
