Ranked both nationally and internationally as one of the best departments of electrical and computer engineering, the department has 33 full-time faculty members, 17 adjunct members and 8 associate members. Eleven of the full-time professors and professor emeriti are IEEE fellows, one Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC), five are Canada Research Chair (CRC) holders, three occupy funded chairs and six are fellows of the Royal Society of Canada. One of the faculty members of the department has been named University Professor (the highest honor conferred by the University). Presently, the department also has seven visiting scientists, nine postdoctoral fellows, and eight researchers.

We have nine staff members who support the administration, teaching and research activities of the department.
