    • ALL transcripts are required from ALL instituitions, including undergraduate transcripts. Even if you are a new student to McMaster with no grades on your transcript, your transcript verifys that you are a registered student at McMaster.

 

NSERC USRA

Summer 2012

  • Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) are meant to stimulate your interest in research in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage you to undertake graduate studies and pursue a research career in these fields. If you would like to gain research work experience that complements your studies in an academic setting, these awards can provide you with financial support through your host university.
  • To be eligible to apply for an award you must: be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada; be registered, at the time you apply, in a bachelor's degree program at an eligible university; and have obtained, over the previous years of study, a cumulative average of at least "B".
  • To apply for these awards, you must complete your application using NSERC's On-line System. Log-in into their system to complete the application (handwritten applications will not be accepted).
  • Your transcript (in a sealed envelope from the Office of the Registrar) must accompany your completed application package.
  • Please provide us with the original application package, plus 2 copies.
  • Completed application packages are to be submitted to Kelly in ITB-A111 by 4:00pm on February 3, 2012. NO exceptions.

NSERC

  • 2011/2012 - Tenable for the 2012/2013 Academic Session
  • Online Application
  • Applications are due in the Drop-Box labeled "SCHOLARSHIPS" on OCTOBER 6, 2011 by 4:15 pm.
    • Your completed application should be dropped in the drop-box in a sealed envelope with your name and contact information on it. Your package should include your application, along with your transcript(s) (in a sealed envelope), and reference letters (in sealed envelopes). You must submit a COMPLETE PACKAGE. If you are missing any part of your application, your application will be considered incomplete and inadmissible.
    • If you would like Alexa to review your application, please see her by OCTOBER 5, 2011. 
    • Alexa will NOT be reviewing applications on the deadline date.
    • Please ensure your application is absolutely correct and accurate. It is your responsibility to check your eligibility and your application before submitting in the drop-box. Any errors found or any missing information will make your application INCOMPLETE and INADMISSIBLE.
  • University Designate for Transcript Submission:
    • Alexa needs to scan in ALL of your transcripts before you can submit. Please drop these off to her ASAP. If you're applying for OGS, you can use the same set of transcripts.
    • Don't forget that all transcripts must be brought to Alexa in SEALED ENVELOPES.
