COE 4TL4: Digital Signal Processing

Time-domain analysis of discrete signals, linear time-invariant (LTI) systems, frequency-domain signal analysis: DTFT, z-transform, DFT, FFT, filter theory and design, FIR and IIR digital filters, DSP filter architectures, random signal analysis, adaptive filtering, spectral analysis and signal compression, applications.

Objectives

To provide a strong background on the DSP theory and applications. The objective is to consolidate previous material, as well as introduce new concepts.

Course Loading

three 1-hour lectures per week, one 1-hour tutorial per week, one 3-hour lab session every other week
