Biography

 

Jian-Kang Zhang received the B.S degree in Information Science (Mathematics) from Shaanxi Normal University, M.S. degree in Information and Computational Science (Mathematics) from Northwest University, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Xidian University, all in Xi'an, China. He is now Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McMaster University. He has held research positions at Harvard University and McMaster University. He is the co-author of the paper which received the “IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Young Author Award” in 2008.  He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and the Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters.
