EE3TP4: Laboratory Descriptions
- Lab 5: The instructions for lab 5 are
now available in pdf form.
These instructions were updated on Monday 19 November.
This lab will be held in ITC-157.
- Student Conduct in Laboratories:
I would like to remind you that eating and drinking is not allowed
in the laboratories. This is a safety issue, both for you and
for the equipment. I had hoped that this would have been
obvious, but the laboratory staff have informed me that this
is a problem throughout our programme.
I will therefore be instructing the TAs to
assign a mark of zero to those found violating these
rules.
- Lab 4: The instructions for lab 4 are
now available in pdf form.
This lab will be held in T13-125.
- Lab 3: The instructions for lab 3 are
now available in pdf form.
The first hour of this lab will be held in T13-125. The second
two hours will be held in ITC-156. You must attend both
sessions in order to have your attendance verified.
You should do the lab in pairs, and you can submit your report
individually, or in pairs. For those who happen to do the lab
in a three, you cannot submit the lab report as a three. You
can do so as a pair and an individual, or as three individuals.
- Lab 2: The instructions for lab 2 are
now available in
pdf form.
This lab will be held in T13-125.
To complete this lab you will also need the following m-files:
You should do the lab in pairs, and you can submit your report

Finally, since my scanner has not been working well, I've distilled
the essence of the slides on the convolution of a finite length signal
with a finite length impulse response in the following
text file.
- Laboratory location:Please note that an early timetable had the labs listed as being
in ITC-125. The first two labs will be in T13-125, as stated in
the new timetable.
- Lab 1: Revised instructions for Lab 1 are now available in
pdf form.
The change is in the frequency of the sinusoids in section 4.
The frequency of these sinusoids should be odd multiples of
100Hz, not the odd multiples of 1/100Hz which was stated in
the original instructions.
-
I have had a few font problems with my distiller. In the section
entitled Introduction to Matlab, the drive which you can read and
write to is the Z: drive. You also have read only permission on
the Y: drive.
