A reference for material on magnetic circuits
The material on magnetic circuits is not covered in any of the conventional text books on electric circuits. A reasonable reference is the text book for EE3PI4: Various editions of Chapman's book are on reserve at the Thode Library. (25 Mar)

Seating plan for second midterm test

Upon request, I have added some solutions to problems from the 6th edition of Dorf and Svoboda's book to the solutions page (8 Feb)

Midterm dates
The dates and times for the midterm tests are as follows: Please note that these tests will be held in testing centre rooms, and not in your lecture room. The rooms and seating assignments will be announced shortly. (28 Jan)

Node analysis question in today's lecture (Wed 7 Jan)
At the end of today's lecture I said that we had 11 unknowns and 10 equations, and that this was a problem. However, I miscounted. There are only 10 unknowns, and hence the analysis is balanced. I'm sorry for the confusion. (7 Jan 2009)

Happy New Year
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year. Lectures will start on Tuesday 6th January and tutorials will start in the week beginning Monday 12th January. It is expected that you will attend the tutorial to which you have been assigned. If you have not been assigned a tutorial session please email me with a list of the tutorial sessions ranked in order of preference. If you have a conflict with your tutorial session, please email me with the class code of the course that is in conflict, and a list of the remaining tutorial sessions ranked in order of preference.
