Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I solder in the lab?
Soldering is not permitted in the lab ITB-156. This is a health and safety concern since the proper fume ventilation equipment is not installed in this room. If you need to solder some components you need to complete the proper safety training and then ask to use the IEEE room which is properly equipped and supervised.
Q: Can I hand my report in late?
A: All reports are due in class as indicated. Late reports will still be accepted at a penalty of 20% per day. No extension is available on the project demonstration. Failure to demonstrate in the assigned lab time will result in a mark of zero for the demonstration component of the project.
Q: How many partners are there in each group?
A: Each group should be comprised of four students. In the rare case where the complexity of the project is large enough to require more members, the group members should submit a written request (via email) to the instructor for approval.
