I spent 1997-98 as a postdoctoral research associate in Electrical Engineering, University of Florida, Gainesville, with Mark Law. Mark and Kevin Jones are co-directors of the SWAMP center.

I am a member of the MRS, and of the IEEE Electron Devices Society, Education Society, and Society on Social Implications of Technology. At McMaster, I am a member of the Brockhouse Institute for Materials Research (BIMR) and the Center for Electrophotonic Materials and Devices (CEMD), and I co-supervise students in the Xerox Center for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Innovation.
