I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McMaster University.

Prior to McMaster University, I held various academic positions as a research fellow and lecturer at the University of Toronto, Imperial College London, and Simon Fraser University. I held multiple design and research positions in the semiconductors industry between 2003 and 2008. I earned my Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2016.

I received the Best Paper Award at the 2017 IEEE International Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and Systems (ASYNC '2017)— the premier conference for asynchronous circuits design.

My research interests span multiple areas, including application-specific custom-tailored computer architecture and hardware acceleration, hardware-efficient deep learning, neurotechnology, reconfigurable computing, and asynchronous circuits.
