Nicola Nicolici is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McMaster University. He received the Dipl. Ing. degree in Computer Engineering from the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania (1997) and a Ph.D. in Electronics and Computer Science from the University of Southampton, U.K. (2000).

Research Activities

The main focus of our current research in the Computer-Aided Design and Test Research Group (CADT) is on electronic test automation, design for debug and design methods for hardware accelerators for scientific applications. IET/IEEE conference and journal papers can be downloaded from IEEEXplore.

We have also made publicly available the source Verilog files for MP3 audio and MPEG2 audio/video decoding (EETimes coverage of this release can be found here).
