Our paper “Analysis of Memory-Contention in Heterogeneous COTS MPSoCs” with Rodolfo Pellizzoni from uWaterloo has received the Outstanding Paper Award from ECRTS. The paper can be downloaded from HERE, presentation slides are HERE and the source code from HERE.

Paper Summary

The paper models the memory contention in Heterogeneous COTS MPSoCs taking into account a wide variety of system configurations existing in modern MPSoCs such as core architecture, system prioritization, OS mappings, and memory controller scheduling (covers 144 possible platform instances!). By considering information about the running applications and conducting the analysis both at the application-level as well as the request-level, it achieves tight memory latency bounds for COTS MPSoC platforms. We model the analysis as an ILP problem and we release it as open-source. Please feel free to use and extend!
